News Flash

Well ......

I went to ballet today for an hour, and I've got an hours class tomorrow, and the next day, and on Monday, and on Friday!

ha ha

By the time my exam comes around I'll be very ready for it, I'm sure! It's only 11 days to go!!

The other teacher I went to see last Friday told me that I was not drawing my supporting leg in when I was doing pirouettes.
I practiced around the house, and at ballet today I noticed that it had actually made a HUGE! difference. Now I can do a double pirouette almost perfectly. I just need a little more practice .....

Bye for now!

My comment is lacking grammar, so I'm afraid it is a bit of a jumble (:

Hi Izi
Good luck with your exam! I really hope it goes well.
My double pirouettes are horrible!! I keep falling from my rise after the first turn. Wish I could do a double pirouette too!
My pointe work are coming along really good! I’m enjoying it a lot, it’s very hard. But it’s still the best part of my ballet class.

Hi Lauren,

No, Sorry - I think I went offline after I had posted this post. Did you want to skype or something?
ha ha, I don't know about graceful, I'm just glad that I can do a double pirouette!
Don't worry about your grammar. When you post on a blog the last thing you should be worrying about is your grammar.

OK, bye for now ....

Hey Holly,

Yeah, pirouettes are fun when you get used to them and can do them. Although they are a lot of hard work when you are trying to get them perfect.

Hello Heidi,

How long have you been doing double pirouettes for? I've been doing them for about a year and a half and they still aren't perfect. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of them soon enough.

Try drawing the ball of your foot into where your heel was when you releve before turning. This REALLY helps me! Also, this of a pirouette as just a releve that turns.

Great work with the pointe, Heidi. I'm sure it gets hard at times, right? But it seems like you are pushing through the pain and still enjoying it. Great job!

And I agree - pointe is one of the best parts of the class.

Hi Bri,

Yes, Lauren told Nick and then Nick told me. That's awful. How come it deteted it? Lauren told Nick that it was because you were under 13 or something.

OK, looking forward to following your new blog!

Hey Melissa,

Good luck for your upcoming exam. I'm nervous for my double pirouettes too. Although I am fairly confident for everything else.
