This Week, Pointe Shoes, And Books!

Hi everyone!

In the last 3 days, I have picked up 2 NEW FOLLOWERS! I am SO excited, now I have 7 followers - I feel so popular. ha ha. I know it's not a lot compared to most blogs, but it's still really exciting each time I get a new follower.

I just got home from two hours of ballet. First up I was teaching half of the primary class their "pig," dance.
Although they can be really disruptive and naughty at times, they are also really cute and fun to hang out with.
My teacher has split the primary class up into two groups, so I am taking one.

My teacher also split the grade 2 class up into two groups. I am taking the "cats." They are also really good fun to hang out with, despite their occasionally misbehaviour.
I really enjoy hanging out with all of the students.

My dance as "Peter," is going okay. I am SO thankful for the new pointes. I would NEVER have been able to do the kind of stuff I am doing at the moment if I didn't have them.

The pointes that I had before (the bad ones) were the "BLOCH," brand name. As much as I love BLOCH, I wouldn't suggest their pointe shoes.

However, my new pointes (the amazing ones) are the "European Balance," ones. I highly recommend them if you are going to get a new set of pointes. They are so comfortable and easy to pointe and balance in - just AMAZING!

Anyway, at ballet today I really felt like I was improving.
I haven't felt like that in the last few months, but finally I felt like I was actually keeping my balance, pointing my toes hard, and getting right off the ground in the Allegro.
Perhaps all the practice has started to catch up ......... ?

Guess what ...... because it was my birthday on Monday (finally I turned 14), my teacher gave me the book "Mao's last dancer." It was really nice of her to give me a present for my birthday.
"Mao's last dancer," is a great book! I had talked to my teacher about it in class one day, she said she had read it and really enjoyed it.

I started the book last night and was hooked from the first page. I can't wait until tonight, when I can read, read, read, read read!

Okay, I think I need to go and get out of my leotard and give it a wash. I haven't washed it for about two week, and with all the sweating I do ..... it's starting to stink!

Have a great week!

Hi Izi
'Sharn' (or Shani, I just can't get used to 'Sharn') just stole my title, (Izi's biggest fan!!!) anyway I might forgive her.
Please tell me more about the book. I am always looking for new books to read.
I would also LOVE to become a follower, but I have to ask Dad tonight.
Miss you

Hi Lauza,

ha ha, yes, Shani doesn't actually like being called Sharn, but we all do it, anyway.

How exciting you are going to become a follower! Can't wait.

I have many questions about following. If you are a follower can you PLEASE anwser me.

Can anyone tell me what the benefits are of following?
Since anyone can post a comment what's so great about being a follower?
Dose it just mean that Izi's blog is cool if she has heaps of followers and following is just a way of saying that you like her blog?
Or is there more then that to following?

I want to become a follower, but dad wants to know whats so great about following. If I don't get anwsers I won't be able to be a follower!

Hay Lauza a.k.a: my bestest best friend!

Yeah, the follower thing. Because you don't have a blog, I don't really see that my benefit of you actually becoming a follower.

If you have a blog, it means every time you log into your own blog, if somebody else has updated THEIRS, it will come up (in your private bit of your own blog - to tell you about their update.)

If you don't have a blog, I guess it is just a way of saying you like the persons blog, but hay, I alreay know that you like my blog.

If you want to become a follower, just click on the thing that says "follow," put in your name, and upload a pc (well, that's all that I do, it might be different if you don't have a blog.)

I really think the best thing to do would be to ask Cassie!

Love and missing you. Izi xoxoxoxoxo

P.S: Check your e-mails, I sent you some more today.

Ooh my gosh, I just read my own comment. It is sooo confusing and I have got words wrong. Sorry, I suck at reading comments before I post them!

Hey Izi

Glad it's going well with your ballet!
I enjoy reading your blog a lot!
When is your concert?
I'm so looking forward seeing a picture of you and you dress!

Can I ask you something..........?? My ballet school is closing on Friday, and my mother said I should keep practicing at home in the holidays. But I can't find music to fit the steps. They are all to slow!
What music do you use?

Have a blessed week
Heidi
P.S. I love your new front page picture! And the two new ones on the side!

Hello Izi,

I have just got around to checking out your blog, thank you for your email explaining how I can get into it and guess what? yeah it worked. Now we know that your beautiful performance as Peter was enhanced by your new pointes, so a good investment was made there.

We are eagerly awaiting news of your trip and hoping it has been just wonderful in every way. During your absence there have been very sad events going on in different States of Australia with flooding in 3 and bush fires in 1, so devastating and hard to believe while watching TV coverage.

We hope you are keen to get back into your ballet after such a wonderful holiday and good luck for your new HS experience.

xoxo

Hello Anonymous a.k.a: Grandma!

Thanks for reading/commenting on my blog. Glad that you found it okay. I know, when I was in the UK I heard about the terrible news from Australia. Made me feel really guilty that I wasn't back in Aus, helping or supporting or somthing.

I am a bit nervous about my new HS. But hay, I think it will be okay, right! I will e-mail you on Tuesday, after the first day!

Thanks again,

Izi xoxo
